This bright, twinkling diamond was reclaimed from an antique piece of jewelry and dates to approximately 100-150 years ago.
Before modern gem-cutting technology, diamonds were cut by hand, often at the site of the mine, earning them the nickname "Old Mine Cut."
Their charmingly irregular faceting pattern, cut by the light of gas lamps or candles, creates a twinkling pattern of refractions and reflections throughout the stone. Along with its unique sparkle, this stone is nearly colorless and boasts a high degree of clarity.
